Obituary:

Jodi S., Lynd, 43, of Mays Landing, passed away on June 12, 2016.

Jodi grew up in Pittsgrove Twp., where he joined the Centerton Vol. Fire Co. He moved to Mays Landing in 1993 where he continued to volunteer his time in the local Fire Companies. Jodi began scuba diving for recreation and later became a dive master and was a public safety instructor for Life Guard Systems. Jodi also got involved in ropes and riggings which led to his career and opening his own business in Bird Control. He was currently a member of the Cologne Vol. Fire Company and the Atlantic County Dive Team. Jodi was a “Jack of all trades”, known as “Jo Gyver”. He loved helping people fix, repair, and problem solve anything mechanical. He recently began doing machine work for C.A.M. Co. of Egg Harbor City.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Robin L., his three children, Jonathan Washburn, Heather Scull, and Emily Lynd, his granddaughter Julianna Washburn, his mother Margaret Lynd (Ron), his siblings, Thomas (Tina), Bryan and Danielle (Anthony), and numerous other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Jodi’s life on Friday, June 17th, from 10am-12noon, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ 08330, where services will be held at 12noon. Burial will follow in Laurel Memorial Park of Pomona.
